Then it talks about his will which list his children, one of them being John T. Goolsby, II and his wife Margaret Love who left Jasper Co. in about 1858/59. John T. II and Margaret are said to have the following chilren: Avariler, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth B., Parthenia, Yasberry, Caroline, and Charles. This family was in Marion Co.,Texas by 1860 and I find them on the census except the ones who had married in Ga. and I assume stayed behind. I am particularly interested in Yasberry and Caroline. My gggrandmother was Martha Caroline Goolsby m. William M. Copeland/Coplin in Marion Co., Tx. on August 30, 1860. Following Copeland's death in 1872, she married John Johnson of Marion Co.. I am also looking for an Andrew A. Gools! by who was according to family tradition and record involvements Martha Caroline's brother. I am not familiar with the name Yasberry and wondered if it were a spelling thing on the part of the census taker or a nickname. Yasberry is the correct age for Andrew and Caroline is the right age to be my Martha Caroline but I need hard proof for research purposes. Andrew A. with one of his sons Burton are buried in the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Cass Co., Tx. next to Marion Co., Tx. with John T. II and Margaret Love Goolsby. However Martha Caroline is buried in the old Floyd Cemetery in Hunt County, Tx. where her two sons had bought a farm and I understand this was done because of their mother's health so she left Marion Co., Tx. for Hunt Co., where she and her sons all died. I have a great deal of information on this family and would be happy to share.
