    3. I just returned from a visit to a graveyard in Jasper County, Ga. I saw several graves there unlike any I have ever seen and would love to know the story behind this style of burial. Most were child-size. The ground was mounded up and covered in a concrete-like substance. Very large sea shells were embedded into the concrete. I'm sure there is some significance to this method (and not just a fashionable thing to do at the time). Can someone tell me about this type? (The fact that so many large seashells of this type were in Monticello Ga. is also of interest.) You could not read any of the writing on any of the headstones, so I don't have a clue as to the era, but they looked very old. I took photos, but have not gotten them developed yet.
