    1. Re: James David Tillison: 1848-1898
    2. Hi Lisa - From the 1850 census for Jackson Co., this appears to be the father of Sarah Susannah Hayes: Household No. 1143 James J. Hays 27 M Laborer, b. SC Viana 32 F, b. GA Edna E. 5 F, b. GA Sarah S. 2 F, b. GA No Tillison's in the 1850 or 1860 Jackson Co. Census. From the info I have, can't tell who James J. Hay's father is. Sorry! The 1860 Jackson Co. Census shows them in Household No. 686: James J. Hays 36M Farmer, b. GA (this varies from above) Vianna 42F, b. GA Edna 14 F, b. GA Sarah 11 F, b. GA Mary 9 F, b. GA Georgia 4 F, b. GA BTW, these Census books are still available from Terri B. Boyd, at a very reasonable price. Her E-mail address is: terriboyd@airnet.net Hope this gives you a start!
