    1. Re: GAJACKSO-D Digest V99 #71
    2. Hi Pat - A couple of week ago I finished my 2nd volume on Clarke Co., GA newspaper abstracts (now at the printers) for the period 1826-1829. I thought it was kind of odd, but THE ATHENIAN, Vol. III, No. 39, Sept. 29, 1829, had an article where Jane Stoneham applied for Letters of Administration on the estate of Henry Stoneham, late of said county, deceased - dated Sept. 15, 1829. This was 14 years after Henry died, and Jane was listed on the 1830 Jackson Co. census - don't know exactly when they moved to TX. She probably waited until her kids got older and then moved with them. Any ideas on this? I have no idea of which church they attended, which would also be a possibility for the burial site. Sometimes deeds will mention a burial plot to be "excepted" from a conveyance, but I don't have the final deeds where they sold the land before moving.
