Next Saturday and Sunday the McElhannons will have a reunion in Jackson County, GA. John and Eleanor Branham Hodge McElhannon came to Jackson county in 1797 from Elbert County and lived there until their deaths in 1832. Their children married Shieldses, Hodges, Bells, Lays, Pottses, Greens, Mammon or Manning, Jones, and McGee. Many descendants remain in the area, others are scattered from NY to FL to CA to AL.
