    2. Hello Everybody, I would like to post my query again with some additional information I have received just from the couple of days being on this listserver. Thanks to everyone who has helped. Okay, I am trying to find my grandmother's family (other children and grandchildren) and possibly even her, although she would be 78 by now. My mother was adopted at birth but my mother's birth certificate has the bio- mother listed, Frances Gene Philips of Tift County Georgia. When I received a copy of my grandmother's birth certificate it listed parents and the father, William Philips, was born in Jackson County, Georgia abt. 1872. Looking for an 8 year old William Philips in the 1880 census I came across the following: William Phillips age 33 Frances Phillips age 43 Lulu M. Phillips age 13 Richard L. Phillips age 10 William S. Phillips age 8 Mimie L. Phillips age 4 Albert P. Phillips age 1 Then in the 1870 census I found the family again: William Phillips age 23 Frances Phillips age 30 (lied about her age?!?) Lula Phillips age 3 Anderson Phillips age 5/12 So, now I need to link this family to my grandmothers birth certificate to prove that they are one in the same. And here is where I am stumped. It is a strong indication that the 10 year old William in the 1880 census is my g-g- grandfather because of the age and the fact that the boys mother and my grandmother shared the same first name. But it's not conclusive in itself. I have not yet been able to find any information on the siblings that would lead me to relatives that would be still alive. If anybody can give me suggestions as to where to go from here I would greatly appreciate it. This is one of those "so close... yet so far..." scenarios. Thanks for listening, Erick--
