    1. Wlliam Phillips
    2. Hi Faye - The age and everything match up perfectly, a strong match. Thanks for sending me this. I was at the FHC in Oakland this weekend and found the family in the 1870 census but didn't go farther back than that. My determination now is to find their descendants to verify if these are my relatives or not. Are these people in your family tree? Thanks again, Erick-- << Hi Erick - From the 1860 Jackson Co. census, it looks like your William Phillips, b. 1847, belonged to this family (household #326) Abner Philips, 38M, b. GA Sarah 38F, b. GA William 13M, b. GA Nancy 11F, b. GA Harris 10M, b. GA Emaline 5F, b. GA I didn't find them in 1850 Jackson Co. census, although there were some more Phillips families there. He married Sarah Langly in 1843 in Jackson Co. There was another Abner Phillips in the 1830 Gwinnett Co., GA census (Gwinnett is a little south of Jackson Co., and a part of it was formed from the original Jackson Co.). His age at that time was 40-50, wife 30-40, and 6 sons and 1 dau. Possibly he was related. Hope this helps. Faye >>
