To All Jackson Co. Researchers, I am related to Samuel Street who died in Jackson Co. in 1813. He lived on Cabin Creek and I know some Street families attended Cabin Creek Baptist Church just off Highway 441 - five miles south of Commerce, GA. I took a trip back there several years ago and obtained a history of the historical church which started in 1796. The present day church was built in 1917 after the old church burned on a location which is now on private land. The present day cemetery does not go back past 1917. I assume the old church had a cemetery but it is on posted property and I understand the owner will not allow visitors to the old site. If any of my ancestors are buried there, I doubt anyone can locate the grave. There is a fairly large cemetery south on 441 from the cut off to Cabin Creek but I had no luck there either. If any of you run into any information on the STREET family while doing research on other families, please let me know. Thanks - - Tom Street in Tacoma, WA TOMSTREET@prodigy.net
