Dear List: Recently I canvassed the cemetery of Grey Hill in Commerce Ga. for my upcoming book "THESE MEN WORE GREY" Volume 7, Jackson Co., Ga. I found a plot with a W.T. Harber buried in it with "OUR MOTHER": L.E. Payne Aug. 6, 1833----Oct. 27, 1901. Can anyone tell me who she is and who she married. She is the right age to have been married to a Confederate Soldier. I've searched Franklin Co. for records of this name (as they were indicative to that are) with no luck and there is not one Payne or Harber in 1850 or 1860 Jackson Co.
