Am searching for Slaton descendants. I am trying to establish a link between the Slaton Family, the Ervin family, and the Brand family. About 1818 a group of Slatons migrated from SC to Jackson Co., GA taking some of their families with them. Among them were Hayden, Uriah, Wade Hampton, and (female) Mickey Slaton. The family of John Slaton married into my Ervin family in Jackson Co., GA. In a book written by Lewis Norman Mitchell titled "The family of Joseph F. Ervin & Mary "Polly" Loury. The information shown is: "The family of John Slaton is given here to acquaint the descendants of Thomas Slaton and Maggie Ervin with their Slaton ancestry. John Slaton born: ?
