She was born about 1846 in Irwin County, Georgia. She married Benjamin Franklin MOORE in 1862 in Berrien County Georgia. I think that Louisa and Benjamin may be buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Irwin County along with many other MOOREs. I am looking for parents or siblings of Eliza or Louisa MERRITT. They are my GG Grandparents. I have explored many MERRITTs in and around Irwin County but have not found her family. For some reason the 1850 & 1860 census does not list many MERRITTs even though I believed there were several families in IRWIN and surrounding counties.
