Hello, My name is Elizabeth and I am new to this list. I have been receiving e-mails from the list for about a week now, and liked what I was seeing so I decided to post my own query. Until recently information on my fathers side of the family was scarce; however, my father managed to get some information and here is what I need help with. Does anyone recognize these families: Henry Tillman Jones b. ca. 1876 in Georgia married Minni or Minnie Agusta Dermott? also born in Georgia. Their son Ira Sebrin or Sebron Jones was born 3 Feb 1914 in Georgia, he married Willa Bella Wiles in March 1930. Willa Bella Willes was born in Ocilla, GA., Sep of 1909. Unfortunately, she died March 23, 1931, three days after giving birth to my grandmother. Nothing is known about her family, apparently my grandmother was raised by the Jones side of her family. Her father was only 16 when she was born, and left a widower, apparently it was felt that he was unable to raise my grandmother. My grandmother, Martha (no middle) Jones was born in Lax, GA., on 20 Mar 1931. If ANY of this appears familiar to you, PLEASE e-mail me, I am desperate for information.
