They had 7 children: (1) MARY J. BISHOP (1869-1933), (2) JOHN HENRY BISHOP (1871-1952), (3) WILLIAM THOMAS BISHOP (1874-?), (4) OFFIE G. BISHOP (1875-?), (5) MARGARET ELLA BISHOP (1878-1925), (6) GEORGE BISHOP (1882-?), and (7) MARTHA BISHOP (1885-1957). All of the children were born in Irwin County; ELIZABETH FLEETWOOD was born in Telfair County. The family was living near Minne when ELIZABETH FLEETWOOD BISHOP died in 1887...her husband and 7 children were still alive. This is all of the information I currently have on this family. I do have additional information on the FLEETWOOD family and will happily share it! Thanks!

There's no need to look anymore up. The one I was looking for, D. Hudson, you gave me. I've been trying to scale my brickwall, and the Hudsons were one of them. An elderly great uncle had said that he was kin to the Hudson that had been sheriff of Irwin County. I didn't even have a time frame. Again thank you so much, If I can now locate the name of his parents, I'll have the name of a brother of my gg grandmother. James Henry Hamm married Clifford Frances Hudson (female). One of their grand sons is still living, and he had said that one of his first cousins was Dudley Hudson who had been sheriff of Irwin County. Bernice

"Dud" Hudson was sheriff one term 1949-1952. W. A. Boykin 1952-1977 don't know if this is exact. Leonard Pope 1977 to 1997. Donnie Youghn 1997-present W. A. Tyler was sheriff 1921-1936 Perhaps longer. Will obtain list of sheriffs from 1936 to 1948. Have list of Sheriffs from 1820-1921 from Irwin County History Book. Do you need them?

MCCALL, B.K. MCCALL and a daughter, name unknown. I do not have the spouse of JOHN R. MCCALL. John R. MCCALL had come from TALBOT county, he was born there in 1856, his father believed to be JOSEPH. John R. MCCALL was a contractor in TALBOT county. John R. eventually moved to Florida to be with C.R. and his family. died in 1938.
