I believe that his father who is also called James may have been married to Ellender

My dad and his mother died without leaving any information on their parents or siblings. I think my McBryants were mostly from the Walker County, GA area, whereas the ones you're investigating were in south Georgia (Wilcox, Irwin County). Here is what I have on the south Georgia crowd. If you have any infoformation on a Phebe McBryant, Reavine, Walker County, GA, please advise me. William H. McBryant, born Oct 27, 1847. Died September 29, 1907 and is buried in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County, GA. His parents were Caleb McBryant and Dicey Fountain. He married "Seleadie" (also spelled Celete C.) McCall in 1871. She was born July 6, 1850. He married Martha A.(?) in 1884. "Sealeadie" is also known as Charlotte Ann McCall. Charlotte died about 1880 and is buried in the McCall Family Cemetery, located near the Abbeville-Fitzgerald Highway #129, about 1 mile east of the fire tower, Wilcox County, GA. William H. had at least one sibling: Mary E. McBryant, born about 1872. Charlotte McCall's parents were Abraham Lofton McCall and Elizabeth Luke. I believe Abraham is also buried in the McCall family cemetery. There is one source of confusion to me: There is "Selete Celete Ann McCall", born in 1805 and died 7/4/1837 in Pulaski, GA. Her spouse was William Butler Thorne, and her parents were Charles McCall and Elizabeth Butler Lanier. I'm not sure where she fits into all this.
