Author: rebeccalevans Surnames: Minix, Dorminey, Dorminy, Dormany Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.irwin/1230/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for information on Nancy Ann Elizabeth Dorminey (b. 1837) who married John (David?) Minix on 22 March 1854 in Irwin county, GA. She later married Tobias Boykin. I have seen the links to Dorminey ancestry from Ed Dorminy, but when I try to access those links, they seem broken. Does anyone have new links to that information? Specifically, I would like to have access to the list of John and Rachel Dorminey descendants from Ed Dorminy's book. Thanks for any help in advance Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. I was looking through death certificates at the Georgia's Virtual Vault:http://content.sos.state.ga.us/cdm4/gadeaths.php and came upon the death certificate of Cynthia Hogan Gibbs. She is the wife of Marion Gibbs and they were married 22 September 1898 in Wilcox County. Through census information I have her parents as William M. Hogan and Eliza. The death certificate was filled out by her half-brother, Eli Manning Hogan. He has that the mother of Cynthia is Martha Shanon. Link to death certificate: http://tinyurl.com/5uffpx . Eliza Hogan (perhaps also known as Martha?) died 16 March 1857. Census records indicate that Eliza and William M. Hogan were both born in Georgia. The death certificate of Cynthia Hogan Gibbs states her parents were both born in Alabama. Four of William M. Hogan's sons' death certificate indicate that William M. Hogan was born in Georgia. Three were filled in by brother-in-laws of the deceased and one I don't know what relationship he was to the family. I descend from William M. Hogan and his second wife, Mary Ann Parsons. They were married 02 June 1858 in Wilcox County Georgia. I'm looking for the parentage of William M. Hogan and Mary Ann Parsons. I'm also looking for information of William M. Hogan's first wife, Eliza, and more information on their children: Caroline, Sarah Ann (Elizabeth), Thomas Jefferson, Celia Ann R., Nancy Ann M., Eliza Ann William, Aytchsey Ann L., Martha Ann P., Cynthia Ann S., Cally Ann J., Mary Ann Elefair. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: nancy1260 Surnames: Tucker/Grantham Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.irwin/1226/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Who were the parents of Moses TUCKER (b 1837-1842, depending on which census record you look at) who married Piety GRANTHAM (b 1844-1847, depending on the census). They were married 4 Mar 1860, Irwin Co and were parents of Mary Eliza (b 1865) and Josie(f)(b 1870). Some say his parents were Benjamin & Martha Mary Rhodes TUCKER; however, it's possible he is the s/o Thomas & Susannah Jernigan TUCKER? per the Tucker book. Benjamin Tucker has a son Moses (10 yr) in 1850 Irwin census; and 1860 Irwin shows Moses & Piety living next to Thomas Tucker & wife Mary. Any help appreciated.
