No children in the 1860 & 1870 census. 1880 Echols Co census there is an Elijah GRANTHAM (listed as 'nephew;) and wife Malinda (nee Johnson) living with them. Also a William, 22 yrs old, not designated as a Tucker, however, Elijah Grantham at 22 yrs is not old enough to be his father. William(14 yr) is listed as "son", but it's difficult to tell just whose son. I believe he could be a son of Davis D. & Ellen, although he is not listed with them in the 1870 census when he would have been 4 yrs old! Does anyone know who this William, b abt 1866 is? and what happened to him? Also,Who were the parents of Ellender COLLINS, b abt 1830-1832? Could she have possibly been married to a Collins before marrying Davis Tucker? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was wondering if you have a good handle on which John Tucker was which? We have a John J. Tucker (b. 1842) married to Hester Nobles c 1865. This John Tucker being a brother to Mathew Tucker, sons of Elijah Tucker. Then we have a John Tucker (b. c 1845), a son of Benjamin Tucker who married Sarah "Serena" Hobby either 11/17/1863 and/or 3/9/1865. Since several of the Elijah Tucker children married Hobby children and the two John Tuckers in question are likely first cousins, it is likely that we have these two men confused.
