    3. Hi Cheryl has shared some information about the photos added to the web page. Stop by and have a look Thanks Gaila ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, 13 March 2000 12:51 AM Subject: Re: Old Mother Dupree Hi Gaila Thanks for adding the photos to the web site! My name is Cheryl DuPree Kravetz. I'm 52, born in Atlanta and have lived in south Florida since 1957. I recently made contact with cousins in Hawkinsville and Atlanta who I had not seen in over 30 years and some I met for the first time. I have a 90-year-old aunt living in Alpharetta who is the only living child of Luke and Fannie (Frances Locke) DuPree. (1)The "old homeplace" is on the road to Hawkinsville and is the house where Luke (George Green DuPree, Daniel, Jeremiah, Lewis, Loys) and Fannie (Frances Locke) DuPree raised their 10 children. It still stands but has been added to over the years. (2)In the woods behind the "old homeplace" is the DuPree Cemetery. Some of the graves there include that of: George Green DuPree (large headstone) and his wife Jane Hulda Brown DuPree (b. 1820 d. 1890); George's father Daniel DuPree; Martha E. Owens (b.1844 d. 1905), daughter of Luke and Fannie. Jeremiah was buried here but his remains were transfered to Andersonville by George (Bouncer) Smith, grandson of Henrietta Clyde DuPree, sister of Luke. Shown at the cemetery during a visit over Memorial Day weekend 1999 are grandchildren and great grandchildren of Luke and Fannie (l-r) Everette DuPree Weidner, June Prince Brannen, Patricia DuPree Lovingood and Eveline DuPree Curtis. (3)Jeremiah Henry DuPree (son of Lewis, grandson of our immigrant ancestor Loys Dupree fought in the American Revolution and is said to be the only Revolutionary War soldier buried at Andersonville. Thanks again for adding the photos. I will send more if you're interested. I have pics of Luke and Fannie and their children. Cheryl
