May I suggest that before anyone does start any abstracting that they go to the CGGS web page and check to see what has already been done. The complete listing is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacggs The things that Billy Mills had abstracted have already been listed here. Frances T. Ingmire published 1822-1852 Marriages for Houston Co., GA but those are also covered by the CGGS publications. Addie Howell did her Obituaries and Cemetery book. "Poor School Fund Students 1858-1859 Houston County, GA" has been privately published by MariLee Beatty Hageness and "Confederate Soldiers and Their Unites Houston County, Georgia" was also privately published by her. I think that she may have had a few more things but would have to find my list of her offerings to know for sure. "Houston County In Our Own Words" published by Pam Baker in 1998, gives a little history about the area with a few really neat pictures gives the industrial background. "A Pictorial History of Robins Air Force Base, Georgia" speaks for itself. There was a little pamphlet entitled "Tornado, A Picture Story of the Warner Robins, GA Disaster" put out by Jake McDonald some years ago. It was 30 photo size pages of the aftermath of THE tornado. Some more records from the Houston Home Journal were abstracted by Mrs. Sims (remember her post) they are only on disk and readable using Word. Hope this gives a pretty clear picture of what has and has not been done. Anyone out there know of other publications? Helen
