Gaila, Thank you for your very kind words. I really appreciate it! >> I think that you should approach Rootsweb for your own Web page. << Thanks for the vote of confidence. The fact of the matter is, my current computer is a 386, running Windows 3.1, which is not capable of accessing the web. I only utilize email to post articles, etc. If I were to have a *real* computer at home, I would probably become a research addict, and hardly ever get to *play* with the real records at the courthouse. If you or someone else would like to post to a webpage, anything that I have posted on the Rootsweb email lists, please feel free to do so. I know the basics of html and have set up a "Plain Jane" webpage for my publications, but it was done in 30 minutes at the public library (cut & pasted from email prepared at home). My current priorities are: trying to preserve the pre-1900 Houston Co., GA court records. Compiling at least one genealogical publication per year. Visiting homeless animals at the dog pounds in the area. And .... bass fishing, which I just returned home from. Spending lots of time producing webpages, is something that doesn't generate a lot of enthusiasm with me at the present time. I am thankful that the Rootsweb network allows me to spread my articles via email, directly from my "Mickey Mouse" computer, and across the Internet. You have probably noticed that the subject of my articles will vary quickly from one topic to another. I usually have too many things on my mind at once, and not enough time to get the words typed before some other idea pops up. Take care and happy hunting! William A. Maybe you could post me the materials you want on it, including articles about researching and I could upload them to the web - very simply and then the Houston County page could link to your page. I am sure everyone would agree as to how valuable we find all of your information, whether its the database of Evergreen Cemetery or tips on researching. Someone closer to home might also help you with it, I believe more than one person can work on a web page. The benefit would be you would have copyright on it. Also other Georgia counties could also link to your page, and I am sure they would. We really appreciate all your hard work and sharing your information with us. Please don't apologize for giving us resources and information, you are our own County resource. We all appreciate your generosity.
