I am not sure this is the same family. According to Addie Howell's "Cemeteries and Obituaries of Houston County, Georgia" pg 202, Minerva Knight died 15 Oct 1895 at her home in Hawkinsville and she was born in Wilkinson County, Ga. She was the widow of James A. Knight. She was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Perry, Ga I am not sure this is the same person and nothing is mentioned about Native American Heritage. It wouldn't have been widely discussed in that era.
