July 31, 1843 at or near PERRY, in HOUSTON Co., Ga. Enlisted as captian in Co. of State Troups in February, 1861 at Buckorn, Ala. in the 1st Ala. Reg. Co. E and continued until December 24, 1861 and resigned., Re-enlisted as Lieut. 3rd. Ga. Cavalry about Janary 1, 1862 at Columbus, Ga. in the 3rd. Ga. Cav. and continued until captured at Battle of Resaca on May 14, 1864, and carried to military prison on Johnsons Island in West end of Lake Erie. Discharged then and paroled June 15, 1865.
