    3. Sandra, I doubt that the Perry LDS FHC has any microfilms of the Houston Co., GA records. If I were you, I'd spend my time at the courthouse, or perhaps even the historical room at the Perry Library. The Perry LDS Family History Center won't be much different than the one which is located near your home. You may want to spend your time reviewing the original Land Lot records in the old Law Library, next to the old deeds. Also, review any record that hasn't been microfilmed. There are several books that fit this category. And, while at the Perry Library, review the Soil Survey book of Houston County, GA, and photocopy the pages which are pertinent to your ancestor's land. This book is available for checkout, and also in the historical room. Then, you may want to go down to the Tax Assessor's Office and buy a huge map of all of the land lots of Houston County. It will cost about $5. There are several old scrap books which have lots of old photos of the Houston County area, at the Perry Library, in the historical room. If you plan your time efficiently, you should be able to review every old book in the courthouse, and skim the contents of the Perry Library historical room, in about 8 hours. But, you will really be huffing, puffing, dusty and sweaty when you are finished :-) William A.
