Gaila, I too have HOWARD, WINN and JOHNSON lines in my ancestory. I have wondered the same about the families migrating together. It seems like a lot of my family in Houston, Crawford and Macon Counties all immigrated from Edgefiled Co, SC...but those have been CLARK, ALLEN, DELOACH, PRICE, WELLS, HILEY (I haven't figured out where they came from yet), I have a Col. Joseph HOWARD who had a daughter Mary HOWARD. I don't have dates for either of these people. These names were given to me from a cousin who did not list his sources so I can't refernce them myself. Anyway, Mary HOWARD married Frizzell MCTYRE. He was b. 1801 in Richmond Co, GA and died 1864 in Cobb Co., GA. Mary HOWARD may have died bef. 1847. Do you know if this family connects with yours? My CLARK line from Crawford, Houston and Macon Counties eventually marries into the MCTYRE line.
