Surnames: Schofield/Schofill/Fretwell/Smith Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sc.2ADI/822.1.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Houston County Marriage book has JL Fretwell marrying Mary Schofield 11 March 1866 (CGGS Houston County Marriage book, Volume 1) I would assume Mary was born roughly1845-46, and I didn't see her named as a grandchild of Phillip & Charity but Chesley Schofield was also in the Houston and Crawford County, Georgia area. The Fretwell family lived near Byron, Georgia. There was also a Phillip H Schofield who may have been called Harrison, and who is thought to have been the son of Chesley. We have assumed that Phillip and Chesley could be related but that has not been proved. This information was given to me by Elaine Smith-Rogers-Labs who wrote a book called "The Smith -Schofills of Houston County Georgia Volume II the Schofills. Mrs Labs is a formidable researcher. You might see if anyone else is descended from this Phillip Harrison Schofill- esp as MinnieMae's son is William Harrison. Regards, Gaila
