Both these gentlemen settled in Tampa, FL. Mitchell married Florence A. Wilson on 23 October 1892. Mitchell died 4 June 1952 in Tampa, and Florence died 24 July 1952 in Tampa. You are correct in the names and number of children born to them. As a young man, I did know both Mitchell and Florence. To my knowledge, the children are all deceased, but other generations are still in the Tampa area. Tidbit of info: Mitchell never learned to drive any thing except a Model "T". That being so, he kept 2 to 3 old "T's" in his yard for parts in order to keep one running. He lived in an area of Tampa called Sulphur Springs and everyone knew Mitchell by his Model "T" as it was very unique in that it had no top and no fenders.

    3. There is a big Clean project for Shiloh Methodist Church and we have documented it with the kind generosity of Helen Hudson. You can see some of your favorite Houston County researcher's hard at work on cleaning up the cemetery and also the reward in finding a beautiful but destroyed gravestone and returning it to its former site (or as close as they can get). I have a photo of one group from the 2nd day and hopefully we will also be able to add a photo of the first day's worker as well. http://www.rootsweb.com/~gahousto/ Click on Shiloh and see these photos. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sc.2ADI/57.100 Message Board Post: Lionel, David M. Brown was a witness to the will of my ggg-grandfather David Clark in 1853; he was also one of the 5 men appointed to appraise the estate of John W. Sandlin, son-in-law of my ggg-grandfather Henry Till (estate adm) The daughter of David Clark, Mary Lucretia, married RDW BROWN 8 April 1860. Do you know whether David M. Brown had a son named Richard? The reason I am looking for a possible connection is the fact that Mary Lucretia and Richard Brown named a child Amory; I found it interesting that in 1857 David M. Brown was Security for AMORY L. BROWN as guardian of the orphans of John H. Brown: Nathan E. Brown, Sarah R. Brown and Leonidas H. Brown.
