    1. [GAHOUSTO] Missing emails
    2. Gaila & James Merrington
    3. AOL addresses are bouncing. This is a consequence of RootsWeb changing its IP address on Tuesday. The new address must propagate through all the mail delivery systems used by various Internet Service Providers, so there will have been a gap in delivery under any circumstances. RootsWeb is sometimes considered a spammer because of the large number of e-mails it delivers, and its IP address gets "blacklisted." The staff works with various ISPs to "whitelist" RootsWeb, but it hasn't succeeded in getting everyone on board with the new IP address. This includes AOL as well as a number of other ISPs. To try and keep people on the lists, I have the number of allowable bounces as high as I can. The MyDoom virus is adding to the complications by clogging mail servers, too. Anyone can contact me on gaila@merrington.net, if they need assistance. Regards, Gaila

    3. The only thing I have been able to find on my Baileys in Twiggs County is the purchase of land by Philip Bailey in 1822 and purchase of land by William Castleberry, second husband of Philip's daughter Lovecey. Don't recall date. My Baileys not in 1820 Twiggs census. No way to connect Francis and Teresa Johnston to Johnsons in Twiggs since I do not know who they are related to. Didn't check message boards in Twiggs, but will do that now. By the way, I have posted several Johnson messages and you are one of few who has responded and I do appreciate it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wayne and Sandra" <rinerw@myfam.com> To: <GAHOUSTO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 12:55 PM Subject: Re: [GAHOUSTO] Houston Co., GA Marriage records. > When looking for my John`s parents we researched Twiggs and there were alot > of Johnsons there have you checked to see if there were any around your > Bailey`s? > Sandra > > Subject: Re: [GAHOUSTO] Houston Co., GA Marriage records. > > > > Sandra, > > > > Thanks for your response. > > > > Have no further info on where these Johnstons were before Houston County. > > > > Philip Bailey father of Bryant Bailey who married Teresa (Theresa, > Terrisan, > > Clarissa) Johnston was in Twiggs County which adjoins Houston County in > > 1822. > > > > Don't know where he was before then. > > > > Lovecey (spelled several ways), Philip's daughter, was born 1793 in NC, > but > > have found nothing on this family in NC. > > > > > ==== GAHOUSTO Mailing List ==== > Remember to Change your subject line and reply to the list, the information you offer may break down someone's brickwall > >

    3. Sandra, Thanks for your response. Have no further info on where these Johnstons were before Houston County. Philip Bailey father of Bryant Bailey who married Teresa (Theresa, Terrisan, Clarissa) Johnston was in Twiggs County which adjoins Houston County in 1822. Don't know where he was before then.
