Our James did have a brother Wilie however. Do not have an Etheldred Lane in my data bank but this was a common name (Etheldred) in the Yelverton family who lived adjoining our Wayne co. bunch. Frank

He was over the age of 45 and up, in 1805 James won in the 1805 land lottery. In 1830 census he isn't listed, so thought he might have moved. Do you have any records showing where your James moved from. Also is there a Wiley or Etheldred Lane in your family? Hope you can help. Thanks.

I looked at the origional on Ancestry (& am sending a jpg of it to Mr. Harris) and I think that Mr. Henry misread the wife's name in this case. It definately starts with Alz and ends with an h. Some of the letters in between are rather difficult to seperate.
