    1. Re: [GAHOUSTO] Where to get a will
    2. William A. Mills
    3. Jennifer, The original and recorded Wills are in the custody of: Houston County Probate Court P.O. Box 1801 Perry, GA 31069-1801 Ph. (912) 987-2770 Fax (912) 988-4511 Email: [email protected] Houston Co., GA is one of the busiest counties in Georgia. If you request copies of early court records that involve research time from the courthouse staff, they may decline, or it may take you a while to receive the copies. You will need to ask about the pricing when you contact the court. Take care! _____________________________ William A. 1. [GAHOUSTO] Clinch co. Marriage--Please, a limit of 1 surname
    2. D. Sjoberg
    3. Due to the high volume of requests I am asking that you select one surname! Some folks have asked for four! Then I find that there is a whole page of them in size 4 font! Most though have provided a first and last name and are only asking for information for one couple.

    3. BINGO! Wasn't Peach co. hit especially hard during the WBS? I see many names of the families that I have just been at a standstill with and I have suspected along time that they were refugees that went further south during or after the war... If by coincidence or by design these names of families tend to "stay together". > > 4. PEACH COUNTY: > > > Holland Road > > Lane Road > Mathews Road > > Taylor's Mill Road > > > 5. 3. Sorry I missed William's daughter Rosebud Johnson -I bet she was a pretty baby. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Christopher" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, 21 May 2000 2:28 AM Subject: [JOHNSON] My Johnson's I don't really have anything but a couple of names and a location with some times, but here goes. My Great-grandmother "Maggie May Johnson" born April 1880 SC? Died I think in 1947? She married a John Ponder, I show them in a 1900 Census for Abbeville, SC living together with 2 children "John W born March 1897" and "Sallie M. born Feb. 1898". It seems that living next door to them was Maggie's mother "Sallie Johnson born June 1842". According to the census, Maggie was Sallie's only child, and Sallie is living in the house as HEAD next door to Maggie and her family. It seems like Sallie was also known as "Sadie"? Anyway here is a rundown for any that might help: Sallie(Sadie) Johnson born June 1842, in 1900 living as a widow in Abbeville, SC Maggie May Johnson d/o Sallie born April 1880 in 1900 living in Abbeville, SC married to a John Ponder (he is 59 at time, she is 20) with 2 children, John W. 3 Yrs. old and Sallie M. 2 Yrs. old Sallie May d/o Maggie May is my grandmother and she died in 1975. So all you SC Johnson experts out there, do me a favor and see if you have any connections to help me find WHO my Sallie(Sadie) was married to?
