    1. [GAHOUSTO] Re: Henry Scarborough
    2. I am looking for information about Henry Scarborough (1812-98), who was living in Houston between 1834 (or earlier) and about 1838. He married Huldah Hudson in 1836 and their first child, Elizabeth, was born in 1837 in Fort Valley (then in Houston). Henry was living in Montgomery County by 1840, and sold his land in Houston in 1842. Was he related to Noah Scarborough? to Jossey Scarborough?

    3. Margie Have a look at the Houston County Web page: www.rootsweb.com/~gahousto You will see there is a lot of help for researcher's for Houston County. The William Mills sections have lots of information on what to search, including what the LDS Family History Centers have on microfilm. There is information on Washington Memorial Library in nearby Macon, Ga and the courthouse in Perry. You can also search the archives for names and information on things such as the 'salt lists' on the archives. Also check the Central Georgia Genealogical Society Web page for information and if you will be in town on a first Thursday of the month you can join in a meeting. 3. Margie, you will be able to make copies in the Probate office at 25 cents each. The ladies in the office are very nice and helpful with copies. However, they don't have much time for helping you "find" things other than pointing our where the various record books are shelved. Good luck with your research. 1. Re: [GAHOUSTO] Heritage book project.
    2. Dear Kathy, I have very little info on Allen's children except through my lineage. To my knowledge, he did not have a son named Seaborn. He did have a grandson named Seaborn Louis Busby/Busbice, born about 1886 in Dooly Co. and lived in Laurens Co., moved to Jackson Parish in 1899 then to Muleshoe, TX in 1817 where he died at the age of 68. He could very well have been named after your Seaborn. Where he got his name has always been a mystery to us and still is. Sorry I can't be of more help. Wayne Busbice
