My Elijah Cowan fell off a spaceship, had some kids and flew away again! I can't find him anywhere! Please please please if you have any GA records see if you can find him? I want to figure him out for my dad for Christmas! (There were at least 3 Elijah Cowans born about 20 years apart--I don't know if they're related or not since I can't find any links at all for mine!). Please help me if you can? Census, birth, marriage, tax, deed, church, absolutely any kind of record that would fit these folks! Following, a timeline... 1800 NC? ELIJAH COWAN born 1832 (ca) GA? Elijah marries Sarah (surname unknown) aft 1832 AL son Elijah Ambrose born aft 1832 GA son William Marion Cowan 12/20/1833 GA/AK? daughter Mary Ann Hester Cowan born 3/28/1835 GA daughter Nancy Catherine Cowan (aka Kitty or Catherine Nancy) born 3/111837 GA son Sherwood Campbell Cowan born 5/4/1839 GA son John Austin Cowan born ca 1844 AL daughter Sarah Ann Rebecca Cowan born 1853 Ouachita Parish, LA daughter Mary Ann marries John M. Wilson 3/14/1854 Ouach.Par., LA daughter Nancy marries Joseph Saddler Rutledge (my line) ca 1854 Ouach. Par., LA daughter Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Cowan born So, beginnings in NC I guess... Then SOMEWHERE in GA...1830-1840 or so? I don't understand the moves to and from GA (AL? AK?), but after ca 1853 the family seems to be in LA for good. Don't know about Elijah, but most of the kids were married and buried in LA. Census of 1820,1830,1840,1850 and marriages and births most welcome!!!!! Can anyone find these people in GA?????
