According to the only descendant of this family line, and she is 93 years old, Robert Jefferson Daniel's father was John Anderson Daniel, born 11-08-1841. So I looked at the 1850 census and there are two John(s) who would be about the right age. There is a John Daniel, age 9, son of Alexander & Amanda Daniel. The other one is John Daniel, age 10, son of John Daniel & Dovey. There are only 7 households of Daniels in the entire 1850 census reports, all 7 heads of household close enough in age to be siblings..27, 27, 30, 35, 32, 48 & 48 respectively. All of them have names that are similar such as Benton Daniel, Isham Daniel & Edmund Daniel all have a child named July, etc. etc. Pieces of a puzzle maybe someday will be solved, I hope !
