I knew from reading my Thompson family history that she undoubtedly had to be a very sweet person. I've still got a great many cousins living in those areas (Heard, Coweta, Carroll & Troup) that I've never had the pleasure of meeting but I still have hopes of traveling that direction someday. The Thompson side of my family is some of the sweetest people on the earth, I think, and the Bells, etc. all lived at one time around the Salem UMC church area. Lucius Bell, my great grandparents Thompson (as well as the Ashleys), Boswell Hammond, etc. were all neighbors when the Salem church was first built. Great grandfather Abraham Thompson's young daughter was the first one to be buried in that cemetery and it has been my understanding that a John Bell lived at his old homeplace near the church. I just didn't know which John that was but apparently it must be a descendant of John Bell & Fannie Hammond Bell.
