    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Bd.2ADE/546.1.1.1.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Mildred and Sue, Since January, 2001, I have been doing a genealogy column for The Citizen newspaper in Fayetteville, where I also am religion editor. I feature genealogy stories about families who lived in the Atlanta metro area (preferably southside families) and other items of general genealogy interest. It started out as being strictly from a beginner's point of view, but has evolved from that. I DO NOT DO RESEARCH unless it involves my own family, but just put your story out there with your name and address, or e-mail address, and people may contact you directly. The paper is distributed locally to Fayette, Coweta, South Fulton and a little bit of Clayton county. It also is online (new column each Friday) at www.thecitizennews.com. Scroll down until you see the link on the left that says "Finding Your Folks." That link will take you to the page where all the columns are archived. I have touched on almost all the southside counties (Troup, Carroll, Heard, Campbell, Fayette, Meriwether, Coweta, etc.) as well as Gwinnett, DeKalb and Hall on the north side, and welcome submissions from readers. My main goal is to try and connect the Internet folks with the non-Internet folks, which, as you know, is a big gap. I also try to help the beginners get started on the right foot and to not be intimidated by some of the old-timers who can be a little short and impatient at times. The column is NOT for short queries (you can put those here and on Genforum) but for lineages and genealogies of southside families in story form . The more names, dates and locations, the better. I just finished running the diary of Henry Newton Cochran of Campbell County. It was most interesting. It also "proved" my great-grandmother, who was his sister-in-law and gave me information on her sister (Matilda Chatfield Owens Cochran) which I didn't have. I do not profess to be an expert and will quickly correct anyone who thinks so. I am just trying to connect people and help them "find their folks." Although I have done stories on the Woods and Daniels, I have not done any on the Hennings or Hannahs. Whew! I think that about covers it. Judy
