It came from “The History of Heard County” by Lydia Eller page 72. The following is a small portion of the article. In the minutes of New Hope, formerly Old Lebanon Church, dated June 7, 1849 a group of worshipers from Rockalo District formed a presbytery and petitioned New Hope Church to be constituted into a church of like faith. The association granted their request, thus the new church was organized and called Macedonia of Heard County, Georgia. This is all I know. Hope this helps.
