Can anyone on the list help me? I have been trying to locate where my ancestor is buried and I have not had any luck. I not only need to know where he is buried, but I'd like to have a photo of his gravestone if possible. My ancestor's info follows: Isaac Newton Farmer, aka: I. N. Farmer & J. N. Farmer. Isaac belonged to Company G, Regiment 7, from the State of Georgia. He enlisted 31 May 1861, in either Franklin, Heard County, GA or Atlanta, Georgia. <--- His military records and pension file are conflicting on where he joined. On 21 July 1861, during the 1st Manassas, he was wounded severely in the right arm and it had to be amputated below the elbow. On 05 August 1861 in Richmond Virginia, he was discharged due to his disability. The last time I find Isaac and his wife mentioned in the U.S. Federal Census, is in the 1910 Turner County Georgia Census. They are living with their daughter Corrie and her Crawford husband and children. He does not show up in the 1920 census, nor does his wife. The last record for him in his pension file is for Heard County Georgia, dated 13 Nov 1911. I don't think he has ever been given a Confederate head stone. For if he had wouldn't his grave/burial site be easier to find? Thank you for any help possible. TJ --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
