Candace, thank you very much. That Wesley Moat and wife Nancy are the parents of Stonewall J. They are on 1880 Heard Co. census with him. I appreciate all this. Larealia Camp
Addie Beatrice Eunice married Fletcher Ashley on 11 March 1899 in Heard County. William Eunice married Alice Daniel on 19 July 1911 in Heard County. Lem Eunice married Fanny Sears on 25 October 1911 in Heard County. What were their family relationships to each other ? In the 1910 census for Randolph County, AL, Gus UNIS was age 40, widowed, 3 children born / 3 still living. In the household with her was her son LEM UNIS, age 24, born AL. Next door to Gus & Lem Unis was Boswell Hammond (son of Boswell Hammond & Nancy Miller) with his wife Jane & children Anna & Rufus James. Gus / Gussie filed for a Civil War Widow's Pension and in it was a copy of her marriage license to Boswell Hammond. She states that they were married in 1914 in Randolph County, AL. She states that her full name is Gussie Traylor Unis Hammond. Candace has this file and will probably shortly put it in the Archives for viewing. In the 1930 census of Coweta County, GA, Grantsville District, Gus Hammond is age 50, widowed, and living with a son named Albert, age 18. William T. NUNIS, apparently the same William Eunice above that married Alice Daniel, is buried in Carroll County, GA at the Sardis Baptist Church, along with some other family members. William T. Nunis Oct 16, 1887 / Dec. 6, 1971 Alice D. Nunis Oct 16, 1897 / no death date given Robert Eunice Aug 9, 1892 / no death date given Ellen Eunice Apr 26, 1899 / Apr 4, 1954 Gussie Ann Hammond June 10, 1872 / May 18, 1947 Candace Gravelle, Suzanne Ashley, and I are trying to put the puzzle pieces of this family together in order to learn who Addie Beatrice's parents were and how she relates to William, Lem, John & Gussie Eunice. Any ideas or thoughts or even an old family Bible would be welcome indeed. Any family that falls into that vast chasm known as the "lost decades" between 1880-1900 needs all the help it can get and we do, too. Suzanne has an old family photo of Fletcher Ashley & Addie Beatrice Eunice Ashley that has the notation on the back of it "grandfather....Rev. Archibald Hammond.
