They are not listed in further censuses. There is also a Simeon GLENN listed 1840, as being aged 30-40, with family. I do not know if he is related to David. In 1850, a William H Glenn and family are listed, but this is not the line I am interested in. Does anyone know anything about David and Simeon ? David was listed as being a military pensioner. Are they buried in Heard County ? Wives' names ? Children ? Antecedents ? Any assistance very much appreciated ! Josephine

Your help with this information is greatly appreciated. Maybe I'll be able to obtain a copy of the marriage certificate on my great grandparents now. I went back and checked my files and found the original letter that I mailed to the Heard County Courthouse. It was dated Monday, July 21, 2003. It was mailed back to me on the 1st of August, 2003 with a note written on it that said: "No Record Found." This note wasn't signed or dated. I gave the groom & bride's name with every conceivable spelling, along with the date of December 24, 1903. So, there is no excuse as to why this marriage record was not looked up and copied for me. There seems to be a problem with the clerk(s) that work for the Heard County Courthouse. I'd say "LAZY" is more than likely the problem. I wish I knew who I could complain about this to, but the same clerk(s) would probably throw the letter away before it ever reached the person it was intended for. In any case, thank you for your time and help. You've answered a lot of questions for me and I do appreciate it. TJ, Cochise, AZ

I'm not sure about the others, but the W. A. Farmer who married Larmina ? Norwood on Dec 24, 1903 is the marriage record of my great grandparents! They are William Allen FARMER and Lumina NORWOOD. I've written to Heard County for this record and they couldn't find it. Please tell me the title of the book you found this in, the author(s), the publisher, the date it was published and the page number that you found this info on. Is this book out of print or can you still purchase a copy of it? I'm trying so confounded hard to prove my FARMER ancestors and I'm having one heck of a time doing so. Heard County, GA has not found one single record that I've written them for. I was told it was due to a courthouse fire or something to that nature. That's why the mention of this family's marriage date in your book is so wonderful to obtain, finally! Thank so so very much. TJ, Cochise, AZ
