My Cook's moved from Montgomery Co. NC between 1840 and 1846. Father was Edward and Mother was Sarah. Children were John Albert b. 10/6/1822, married Julia Ann Mullins on 12/7/1854, Sarah Ann B. about 1828, married John J. Massey on 10/25/1846, Salvy Perkins b. 9/6/1830, married Georgia Ann Mullins on 10/5/1865 and William Dawson b. 7/16/1834, (buried at Antioch Baptist Church near Mountain Hill) married Aisley Adeline Smith on 1/7/1858. All three brother fought in the Civil War and was added to the DAR rolls at some point by Kathryn Emily Robinson, Susan Orlean Ward and Marilee Whitney, all, whom I do not know, I have a good amount of information on part of these families but missing a great deal on most of them. Salvy was my great-great-grandfather. I would like to talk to any descendants of these familles Bill Powell Fayette Co. GA.
