    3. Carla, who is so wonderful to be transcribing newspapers has asked for some help in identifying these locations.... Shiloh and Waverly Hall She's working on The Butler Herald (Taylor Co) and previously did work on The New Era (Butler Co). There was a society column in New Era for Shiloh. http://www.cviog.uga.edu/Projects/gainfo/histcountymaps/harris1883map.htm This map shows both Shiloh and Waverly Hall in Harris County but near the Talbot border. I'm assuming that the county boundary line shown here would have continued to exist during the time of the newspapers she's working on -- but we would like to have others comments and input. Is the explanation of why articles were in the Talbot papers, that the community was so near Talbot and perhaps those folks associated themselves more with Talbotton than Harris Co seat Hamilton? Sometimes it may have depended on the condition of the roads to determine where people went to shop or do business. Any ideas on this?? It might also have something to do with Church Associations and the way the area was organized. Maybe someone could help us explain that as far as Primitive Baptist Association or Methodist (don't know if they had a Presbyterian church)
