I recently received an offer to occasionally do onsite Harris County tombstone lookups for those in other parts of the country who do not have access. I know some of you on the mailing list already do tombstone lookups on an informal basis. I am considering making a page listing volunteers who are willing to do onsite tombstone lookups on an occasional basis. I'd like to get at least several volunteers, and more than that would be better. That way, no one person would be over-burdened. I would place guidelines at the top of the page to minimize the possibility of unreasonable requests and the volunteers would have input in drawing up the guidelines.
