Dear list members, I need help locating information, clues, documents, and researchers on the McCollum Family that lived in Harris County, Georgia around 1845. I don't have access to census records for that county, so I'm interested in knowing about anyone who was found living in that County between 1840-1850. My 3rd great-grandfather, Isaac McCollum, married Lucy M. Oliver on September 23, 1845 (record dated Sept. 22, 1845, MB 1, page 32). Isaac McCollum was born on Jan. 13, 1820, so he would have been 25 years old when he married. Therefore, he should have been living with his father prior to that date. I have no idea who his father was, so I'm hoping his father was also living in the county between 1840-1850. If anyone has any info on the census records for that timeframe, or better yet, has access to the estate records of the County to see if a McCollum died leaving an heir named Isaac McCollum, I would be forever grateful.
