    3. Kemis, I recently acquired a copy of a book entitled "Columbus, Georgia 1827-1865". The history was compiled by John H. Martin and was published by Thomas Gilbert, Book Printer and Binder, Columbus, GA, in 1874. The book does not have an index but I will keep an eye out for mention of J. R. Clapp or the Clapp Cemetery. Clapp whose factory caused a village to be built later a cemetery. Recently the Clapp Cemetery has come up in some emails and it has sparked some interest in readers. If any of you has information of the Clapp Factory, Village and Cemetery, please share it with the me. thanks, kemis ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
