Hello Listmembers, Our family has a bill of sale in Columbia Co. Arkansas for slaves. They were sold to a William G. Barton of Columbia Co. by Payton Letcher and Martha W. Parker. They were in the care of Joseph Davis. I feel like these slaves were willed to either Payton or Martha, since they had been in Arkansas for at least 10 years before the sale in 1857.
