    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Buchanan, Harden, Gresham, Colvin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Rc.2ADI/693 Message Board Post: Still looking for more info in the J. (Jesse) Buchanan and B. (Benjamin) Buchanan that is in the 1840 Harris Co., GA Census records. In 1840 my gr gr grandfather James H. Buchanan was 19 and there was a male in the 15-19 age group living in the houshold of B. Buchanan. This could be him. He would have been too old to have been a child of Benjamin, possibly a brother. Living near J. Buchanan were several Colvin families. One, E. (Edward) Colvin was the father-in-law of Jane Walker Harden that married David A. Colvin bef 1837 in Chester Co., SC. My gr gr grandfather James H. Buchanan married the sister of Jane Walker Harden Colvin, Nancy Ellen Hardin in June 1844 Harris Co., GA. Apparently with the Colvin's and the Buchanan's living near each other James H. Buchanan and Nancy E. Hardin came in contact and got married. They then lived in Meriwether Co., probably near Nancy's Hardin and Gresham family, where they had 2 children. Soon after the 2nd child was born in 1847 they lef! t. In 1850 they are found in Jackson Parish, LA where they had a 3rd child. In 1851 James H. dies and is supposedly buried in the Stowe Cemetery on the Old Roane Plantation. http://www.geocities.com/tnbrat2/
