The county courthouse is in Hamilton on Highway 27 (you can't miss it). Records are in the lower/lowest floor. Do you know what part of the county that the Wests called home? I'm familiar with the eastern part of the county--Shiloh, Waverly Hall, Pine Mountain Valley. Hamilton is in the center of the county. Pine Mountain (formerly known as Chipley) is the largest town, toward the north of the county, and features the nature/golf resort Callaway Gardens. -----Original Message----- From: DRTJOHN@aol.com [mailto:DRTJOHN@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, April 11, 2004 7:56 PM To: GAHARRIS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GAHARRIS] Levin West I am searching for the place where Levin West might be buried .he died in Harris Co.sometime between 1850and 1860.His wife's name was Jane I found her still living in Harris Co.on the 1870 census.I know nothing about Harris Co.
