Does anyone in Talbot County and surrounding areas remember the first Courthouse in Talbottom, before the Courthouse that is there now? They started plans on the older Courthouse and jail in the early 1800s, around 1830. Was it on or near the same location that the newer Courthouse is today? Did it burn down? Green Berry Waldrop was in the same area, Harris, Taylor, Cowetta, Talbot, Troup and Muscogee Counties helping Constitute Baptist Churches. They both were working with the Baptist Churches in the same Counties 1827-1840. I would like to think they knew each other.
