Harris Co is lucky in some ways because there are IMAGES of two census on-line 1860 and 1870 But wouldn't it be nice to have these transcribed so people could do searches?? You can view the images from: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/harris/census.htm The 1850 census is the only transcribed one on-line right now. Does anyone have access to Ancesry, CD-Roms, or microfilm that could do some transcribing for the earlier census. The 1840 INDEX is already done. Or would you be willing to just do an index?? If several people worked together (using a simple format) this would go so much faster. But if you only did ONE page....that is more than we have right now. Please consider it...and I'd be happy to work with you... Virginia Crilley
