    2. Ken Sartin
    3. I am posting this to warn others about problems with ; Census Microfilm Expeditors 476 E. South Temple , Suite 4 Salt Lake City , UT 84111 website ; www.censusmicrofilm.com e-mail ; [email protected] and ; [email protected] I was lured to order several microfilm copies from this company with "guarantees" of "speedy delivery" and "low price" . My order was placed in October of 1998 and as of this posting I have not received the order or a refund after numerous contacts with Steven Jensen at this firm . In his occasional replies he repeatedly gave false information to me as to the status of the order and cashed the check when mentioned stopping payment on it .I have copies of all documents and correspondences for those interested . Complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau and the United States Postal Inspectors , they have informed me that even they can't order this company to give a refund , but may seek criminal charges . I guess small claims court is next . If you are seeking genealogy resources......consider my experiences with this "Firm". Thank you , Kenneth Sartin researching ; Sartin , Sartain , Sarton , Sarten , Sardin etc. etc.

Elizabeth m. Reuben J. Crews in 1828 in Harris Co., GA and that is all that I have been able to prove (my line of descent is through Elizabeth and Reuben). 1. [GAHARRIS-L] mysterious deaths
    2. Charles Ottosen
    3. Hi everyone, I've got a question that has been bugging me for sometime and was hoping maybe someone on this list could help. The documentation on my Crews line ends with the marriage of Reuben Jordan Crews to Elizabeth Philips in Harris County in 1828. Family lore gives the death dates for both of these people as about the year 1854 which would make Reuben 50 and his wife 40 years old. Does anyone know of something special happening in the county at that time (they are listed in the Ellerslie District in the 1850 census) that would have allowed them both to die at a relatively young age and at the same time? Indian raids, epidemic, etc.??? Reuben's will was written in 1853 but I have not been able to figure out when it was proven. The will, however, was very specific about the education of his children. I don't know if that was because Reuben was a lawyer (which he was) or because he knew that he was going to die soon. And while I am at it I guess I'll ask another question that someone might be able to answer. Does anyone know what churches would have been around in that district at that time that they might have attended and did those churches have cemetaries that would still be accessible? I know that in the next generation the family members were Methodists but don't know whether that was true for Reuben's family. I am hoping that if their graves could be located I could confirm their death dates and locations. Well, sorry to go on so long. Any help is appreciated on these problems. 3. Hi, Kathleen, My gggrandfather was REV. WILLLIAM NELSON SNELL who lived in Harris/Muscogee from 1843-1869. In the Barfield book there's a reference to a marriage between a Mrs. Mary Snell and a W.P.? Downs in 1866. We don't know who this Mary Snell is or whether she's a part of our branch. 3. I am forwarding this message to the group to see if anyone has knowledge of this family. Repond directly to Dan Cotney at [email protected] Barbara Stock [email protected] I have been searching for some time records of JAMES COTNEY who was in Harris County apx. 1825-1835. He died in 1835, there. I have found some records which indicate he had several children, listed by name, but all seem to have disappeared. My research of the Cotney is quiet extensive but, as I have said, all this family disappeared after James' death. I will appreciate any information.
