I was told that my ggggrandfather John Holloway was born in North Georgia in 1800 before Hall became a county (1818). His father, probably Solomon Holloway, traveled with a group including the Becks into Georgia from SC/NC. According to records, John married Dorcas (Dorky) Beck on 11 August 1832 in Hall County. She was the daughter of Isaiah Beck, Sr. These men later settled in Carroll County GA with John and his family moving to Randolph County AL in the late 1860's. I would appreciate any information or suggestions for sources in Hall and/or Rabun County. Thanks. JMFuller.

The GA Marriage Record CD shows him as "John HALLOWAY" and her as "Darkey BEEK" but the marriage date is 11 Aug 1823.............not 1832 . Did your John Holloway have a brother named Miles "Solomon" Holloway? If so, Miles married Jane M. Cash.
