From what we can gather he might have immigrated from Germany and we think made his way to the southern states, e.g. Arkansas, Texas. We think he might have been born in 1860 -1866. We have not been able to find a document where he has signed his full name. We know he had an occupation that would be noticeable and we know of two wives and according to sources there were 4 others. My Grandmother Nora was a Hopgood of Mississippi, and they had one daughter Emma B. . If you or anyone can lead us in a helpful direction we would appreciate it. We are at a dead end. This little guy just keeps disappearing on us.
